Our partners at Applied Self-Direction have an open call out for
Self-Direction Success Stories, and have encouraged us to put the call out
to our members.

If you know of any consumers or families who are thriving during the
COVID-19 pandemic due to the availability of CDPA or other self-directed

Subject: Self-Direction Success Stories in Response to COVID-19

Do you know any individuals or families who have been successful with
self-direction in response to the COVID-19 pandemic? We are looking for
participant stories to use as we continue our advocacy efforts to protect
and advance self-direction during this unprecedented time. We plan to
publish additional articles, similar to our recent AARP Blog

as well as other advocacy.

*We would greatly appreciate it if you have an individual or family in
mind. Please let me know if you do and we can figure out our next steps. *We
are looking for stories including (but not limited to) someone who began
self-directing in response to COVID-19, someone who was able to hire a
family member in response to COVID-19, or someone with a story along the
lines of  “Because of self-direction during the COVID-19 pandemic,  I was
able to x...”.
