I want to thank everyone who quickly turned around detailed information
about your cases and authorizations last week for our turn in front of Jude
Block in the ongoing matter of *Engesser *and the enforcement of the PI.

Since then, two separate waeg theft cases have been filed. One by Emina
Poricanin in the Western District, and one by Legal Aid Society in New
York. If PPL is found liable in these cases, the penalty is full repayment
of back wages plus 100% of wages owed. So, if $100 of wages have not been
paid to someone, PPL would owe that individual $100 plus another $100.
Obviously, this has the potential to be quite costly for PPL given the
amount of wages that are outstanding. Their case is not aided by the fact
that they issued press releases admitting to the fact that 20-30% of the
workers in their system were not paid timely.

As the legal woes and implementation woes for PPL continue to pile up, we
do see new momentum for some form of a legislative fix to this matter as
well. We are having ongoing conversations with partners in the Legislature
and the advocacy community about opportunities.

As always, we will keep you fully abreast of all new developments.

Bryan
