On Tuesday, March 24, make 3 calls to protect CDPA!
Consumer Direction saves the State over $50 million per year; but the state is allowing managed care companies to put the program at risk with unsustainable cuts!
Fiscal intermediaries are being reimbursed less than they were in 2006.
This means that thousands of personal assistants have been working without a raise since 2006.
Tens of thousands more are losing money from their paychecks NOW as their salaries are being cut.
Want to CHANGE this?
On TUESDAY, MARCH 24, make three phone calls to PROTECT THE FUTURE OF CDPA:
Governor Cuomo’s: 518-474-8390
New York State Senate: 518-455-2800 (switchboard, ask for your Senator)
New York State Assembly: 518-455-2700 (switchboard, ask for your Assembly Member)

Let them know:
Protect consumer directed personal assistance and continuity of care by making managed care companies pay enough to allow workers to get a decent wage. Consumer direction helps people live active lives in their community AND saves the state over $50 million per year. Please make sure the Assembly’s budget language requiring enough reimbursement to fiscal intermediaries for workers to get a decent wage is in the final budget.
