CDPAANYS to Hold Advocacy Forums in Rochester, Geneva
This Friday, November 6, CDPAANYS will be in Rochester and Geneva to discuss how consumers and workers can advocate to increase worker wages and strengthen Consumer Directed Personal Assistance through their advocacy. Consumers and personal assistants from all agencies are welcome to join.
We will be at the Regional Center for Independent Living at 497 State Street in Rochester at 10:00 AM. From 2:00 to 4:00 PM, we will be in the Geneva Public Library.
These forums are part of an ongoing series of forums in which CDPAANYS travels to meet with consumers and workers in CDPA, discussing ways in which program participants – those who are most involved and will be directly affected – can take the lead on developing advocacy strategies unique to their geographic locations.
These events will be taking place statewide. Check back regularly here and at our Facebook page for schedule updates.
